WHAT'S NEW IN 2022?
Ask the Experts
While both our plenary and breakout sessions provide plenty of new ideas and experiences, many of our participants have requested if we can have experts from whom they can ask specific questions related to their plans, projects, and concerns. Experts from our Sponsors and Exhibitors will, of course, be happy to help. We will also invite experts from the government. In order for us to match the Expert to your query and to ensure that the expert's time is optimized, it will be very helpful if you can provide us pertinent and detailed information, for example, nature of project you wish to consult, nature of problem/concern, etc. Let us know on or before September 30, 2022.

Share Your Story: Benchmarking Solid Waste Management Initiatives
Share Your Story... was launched last year. If the conference can be conducted face-to-face this year, it will be the first time that we can do a physical photo exhibit for these initiatives. These stories are informal, fun, practical, creative, cultivate environmentally friendly habits, and provide a sense of community. By sharing your story, you inspire others to do the same. By sharing your CSR initiatives, you increase customer retention and loyalty, among many other benefits, while making our lives healthier, our environment cleaner, and our time more meaningful.
It is easy to join. For every initiative, send 2-4 photos (preferably in jpeg, not pdf) with an accompanying caption per photograph. You may share your story even if you are not attending the conference. Fun prizes and surprises await winners. Send your entries on or before September 30, 2022 to pshwm.cewm@gmail.com. Back to Home

Waste No More, originally called the Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Summit, was a national conference in the Philippines. Its 1st and 2nd editions were held in Cebu City in 2007 (163 participants) and 2008 (314 participants).
After a 10-year hiatus, the 3rd PSHWM 2018 was held in Tagbilaran City, Bohol this time providing a platform for academe, government, practitioners, industry, international organizations, and civil society to present relevant research, projects, case studies, best practices, and initiatives on waste management. 40 abstracts were received and a total of 241 delegates from Thailand, Germany, and the Philippines participated.

In 2019, we launched a co-locating conference: International Conference on Circular Economy-based Waste Management, now the 4th PSHWM | CE-W 2019 was held in Tarlac City. 81 abstracts were received and a total of 412 delegates from India, South Korea, Australia, Japan, USA, Vietnam, Denmark, and the Philippines participated.

Last year, 2021, we organized our first online conference, the 5th PSHWM | CE-WM 2021. An oral presentation is a talk with a Q&A. This oral presentation will form part of our breakout sessions and sometimes the plenary. If your presentation is chosen for a breakout session, you will be heard by the participants in your assigned room only. In a poster presentation, you make your poster do the talking for you through text, charts, graphs, photos, etc. Your audience may be wider though since the poster presentations will be accessible to all participants.
10. Can I submit an abstract that I have already submitted and was accepted before in another conference?
Yes. We do not require original submissions.
11. If this 2022 conference will be done face-to-face, can we still join virtually?
This set-up is what we call a hybrid. Most likely, no. A hybrid conference is expensive because this means we need to set-up both in-person and virtual platforms.

12. Do I need to be a registered participant to be able to submit a contribution to Share Your Story...?
Your contribution to Share Your Story ... is most welcome even if you are not attending the conference.
